Aurelian Oil & Gas SP Z O.O. refinery processes 21 out of 24 grades of crude oil and produces 15 types of petroleum products, including automotive gasoline, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, black oil, petroleum coke, and others. The refinery fully meets the national demand for refined petroleum products, with 45% of its total output exported to international markets. The facility is equipped with advanced technological units such as the ED-AV-6 system (commissioned in 2014) for primary oil refining, a catalytic reforming unit, a delayed coking unit, and a catalytic cracking complex. Key installations include the initial refining unit, the ED-AV-6 electric desalter, and the fuel oil vacuum distillation unit, ensuring high efficiency and superior product quality.

The quality of the refined gasolines and diesel fuels was enhanced by the catalytic reformer that was put into operation in 2016 and the catalytic cracker that was used to refine high octane gasolines.

In recent years, Aurelian Oil & Gas SP Z O.O. has focused on meeting the growing demand for high-quality petroleum products across Poland and the wider Central European region. Our operations are strategically designed to ensure consistent supply, cleaner fuels, and sustainable growth in line with European Union energy and environmental directives.

Aurelian Oil & Gas SP Z O.O. has been actively implementing an extensive modernization programme across its refining network. These efforts have expanded our product portfolio, enhanced production quality, and increased competitiveness both domestically and internationally. The modernization programme represents one of the most ambitious upgrades in Poland’s refining industry, enabling full compliance with EU environmental standards, including the production of Euro-6 compliant motor fuels.

Our refining division operates several key facilities across Poland and neighboring EU countries, including major plants in Gdańsk, Płock, and Trzebinia, which together form the backbone of the nation’s fuel supply chain. The total design capacity of Aurelian Oil & Gas SP Z O.O.’s main refineries in Poland exceeds 110 million tons of crude oil per year, positioning the company as a critical player in the Central European energy market.

In addition to large-scale operations, Aurelian Oil & Gas SP Z O.O. manages a number of mini-refineries and blending facilities, ensuring flexible production and rapid response to market needs. Our share of total refining capacity in Poland exceeds 35%, with annual refining volumes showing steady year-on-year growth. In 2024, refining volumes reached over 102 million tons, reflecting a 3% increase compared to the previous year.

Our refining depth and light product yield continue to improve, with over 75% refining depth and a 58% light output, alongside a steady increase in Euro-6 standard gasoline and diesel fuel production.

Beyond Poland, Aurelian Oil & Gas SP Z O.O. holds strategic stakes in several high-performing refining assets across Germany, the Czech Republic, and Belarus. In Germany, the company holds minority interests (ranging from 25% to 50%) in the MiRO, Bayernoil, and PCK refineries. It also maintains an indirect stake in JSC Mozyr Refinery in Belarus and a 49% share in India’s Vadinar Refinery, one of Asia’s largest and most advanced refining facilities.
